Arsenal target M'Vila could have "played last game for Rennes"
22-year-old French international and rising star Yann M’Vila could well be on his way to the Premier League before the end of this winter transfer window. The rumours of his departure have now intensified after the club’s general manager, Pierre Dreossi, replied to questions over his future by saying, “There is a good chance that this is the last game Yann M’Vila will have played for Rennes.”
The highly sought after midfielder has been linked to a host of clubs in recent times, but Rubin Kazan have emerged as the front runner for his signature, reports say. Harry Redknapp, who recently added Loic Remy to his QPR squad in an effort to bail them out of the relegation zone, has gone on record stating that he is hopeful of adding Remy’s compatriot M’Vila to his side as well.
M’Vila seems to be in high demand all across London, as a host of other city clubs like Fulham and Tottenham have also been linked with this playmaker. His most likely destination in England though is still being touted as Arsenal, who have been linked with him since the summer transfer window.
However, with Mikel Arteta going strong, and Jack Wilshere fit and fighting since making his comeback from injury, this could be one Frenchman that escapes Arsene Wenger’s net for the greener pastures of Russia, where Zenit St Petersburg are also said to be interested in snapping up this promising prospect.
