Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be out for almost four weeks with injury
Arsenal’s injury woes continue as fears seem to grow that midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be sidelined for as much as four weeks with a hamstring strain. Chamberlain limped off during the second half of the FA Cup win over Manchester United.
The Arsenal star underwent a scan on Tuesday and the club’s medical team is set to conduct further tests before making a definitive diagnosis. But initial reports suggest that the England international could be out for around four weeks.
If the reports are true, Chamberlain will be out for England’s crucial Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania and a friendly against Italy. England manager Roy Hodgson is scheduled to name his squad next week.
The pacey winger will also miss a string of Arsenal matches including next week's vital Champions League away clash against Monaco and next month's visit to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the League.
Arsenal are already without the services of Mathieu Debuchy, Abou Diaby, Mikel Arteta and Gabriel Paulista due to injuries.
