Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny denies moving to Bayern Munich

Laurent Koscielny has expressed his intention of staying at the north London club

Arsenal player Laurent Koscielny has dismissed rumors of a possible transfer this summer saying he is quite happy and satisfied being a part of the Gunners squad.

The French defender’s contribution amounted to an impressive record as the team triumphantly rounded up the 2012/13 campaign.

His impressive play caught the attention of a number of clubs, including that of Bayern Munich who have eyed him as a potential transfer target.

Koscielny, 27, is however involved in a long-term contract with Arsenal and is keen on keeping his end of the deal.

Koscielny told La Montagne: “I have a four-year contract. For now, I am still at Arsenal.”

Arsenal had a victorious campaign having won eight out of ten matches last season.

The defender expects Arsenal to keep up their performance in the 2013/14 season and possibly compete for top honors at home as well as abroad.

He added: “The second leg of the Champions League against Bayern Munich was a trigger for us. In the process, we almost won everything.

“The most important thing is that Arsenal is in the Champions League. It is super exciting to play against the best teams in Europe.”
