Arsene Wenger to PSG?
Paris Saint-Germain is said to offer Arsene Wenger a massive £30 million deal to quit Arsenal this summer. Carlo Ancelotti, the present boss of PSG, is all set to take over Wenger’s position at the Emirates. The Qatari owners of PSG are making an offer of £10m-a-year to Wenger in order to take over the Parc des Princes next season.
The French club was left searching after Pep Guardiola agreed to become Bayern Munich boss. Jose Mourinho, the manager of Real Madrid, stated his desire to go back to England. Even though PSG has their best option as Wenger, they have not given up on Mourinho.
Wenger is one of the highest paid mangers in Europe at £7m-a-year, but PSG has no issues giving him a sizeable increase. Before appointing Ancelloti in 2011, PSG did attempt to hire Wenger. PSG has not informed the former Chelsea boss Ancelotti that definite changes would be made this summer. But the 53-year-old is well aware that plans are already made to substitute him.
Ancelotti also made plans of going back to England if he loses his job where he won the Premier League title and the FA Cup as Chelsea manager. He has also revealed his love for Arsenal and life in London. Wenger was said to be offered a contract extension to stay at Emirates by the Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis, but the 63-year-old is in no state to make any future decisions during the season.
