Arsene Wenger warns unhappy Arsenal supporters
Arsene Wenger has sent out a warning to disgruntled Arsenal supporters saying “You don’t know happiness until it’s gone.”
A poor run which has seen Arsenal win only 10 points from the last 9 games has left Arsenal eight points behind league leaders Leicester and it has sparked criticism from Arsenal fans who were expecting much more consistent displays from Wenger’s men this season.
A banner reading 'Arsene, thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye’ made an appearance during Tuesday night's FA Cup win at Hull.
Arsenal go into Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-finals still alive in all three major competitions and they are chasing a hat-trick of FA Cup wins last achieved by Blackburn in the 19th century.
Wenger also backed the decision to cap the prices for away tickets. When asked whether he supported the decision, Wenger said:
"Yes, of course.
"Do you want some people to be unhappy? You want the whole world to be happy. There's a famous writer who said 'happiness makes noise only when it leaves you'.
"We want to keep our fans happy and be conscious that they are happy.
"We want the fans to be behind the club and the team. If you're a supporter you want the team to do well, you're disappointed when they don't do well but you still support the team."
Wenger insists Arsenal can still be champions, and he said: "We take care of the next game, that's what you want to do."
Ramsey out for four weeks with thigh injury
Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey has been ruled out for four weeks with a thigh injury in a blow to the north London club's fading Premier League title hopes.
Manager Arsene Wenger told reporters on Friday that the club would have to do without the Wales international for the next month after he suffered the injury in their FA Cup fifth round replay win over Hull City on Tuesday.
Ramsey will now miss Sunday's Cup clash against Watford and is also likely to sit out Premier League games against Everton, Watford and West Ham United as well as the second leg of their Champions League clash against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
