20-year-old France midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is the newest recruit for cash strapped French outfit AS Monaco.

The Dmitry Rybolovlev owned side agreed to pay €20m to Kondogbia’s former club Sevilla to trigger the midfielder’s release.

“The midfielder will continue his development with Monaco,” the principality club said on their website.

The newly promoted Ligue  1 side have already spent over 170 million euros  in the process, landing European stalwarts like Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho amongst others.

The move will be highly beneficial to Kondogbia, who won the Under-20 World Cup this year with France. The talented midfielder has also been called up for his national side for next month’s World Cup qualifiers in Georgia and Belarus.
