Ballon d'Or 2016: 11 players who received 0 votes

Sergio Ramos is arguably the most high-profile player to miss out

Cristiano Ronaldo might have won his 4th Ballon d’Or award, but his Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Ramos will definitely consider himself unlucky to not even make the list. The Ballon d’Or ranking started from 17th and while many were surprised, France Football revealed that 11 people received no votes from the journalists.

The 30 man shortlist was filled with some great players, but the likes of Manuel Neuer, Sergio Ramos and even Kevin De Bruyne did not impress the people voting for the Ballon d’Or award.

The 11 man list of people who missed out are:

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid)

Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus)

Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)

Koke (Atletico Madrid)

Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)

Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)

Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich) and finally....

SERGIO RAMOS (Real Madrid).
