Barcelona 7-0 Real Valladolid: Barca player ratings in demolition job | La Liga 2024-25

Barcelona thrashed Real Valladolid 7-0 at the Olimpic Lluis Companys on Saturday in La Liga. The hosts opened the scoring through Raphinha in the 20th minute post some great work by Pau Cubarsi and never looked back.

Robert Lewandowski doubled his side's advantage minutes later, finishing off a beautiful pass from Lamine Yamal. Jules Kounde capped off a brilliant first half by turning in a set-piece on the brink of half-time.

Raphinha continued his onslaught as he scored twice in the second half to complete his hat-trick. Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres rounded off the scoring to complete the demolition and secure all three points for the Blaugrana.

He had a quiet game but made one good stop in the opening half to deny the visitors.

In an ipressive performance, Kounde was astute offensively as well as defensively. The Frenchman added a man moving forward as he linked up well with Lamine Yamal up front. The 25-year-old bagged a goal as well.


Pau Cubarsi - 8/10

Cubarsi was solid at the back and did his part well. The 17-year-old was involved in attacks as well and provided an inch-perfect pass for Raphinha to open the scoring.


Inigo Martinez - 7/10

Martinez kept the backline tidy, as his presence allowed his teammates to move higher up the pitch and contribute to attacks. He completed the most passes in the match (95), cleared the ball thrice, made five recoveries, won four duels and made one interception..


Alex Balde - 7/10

In a decent outing, Balde is gaining confidence and showed signs of maturity despite being just 20. He positioned himself well and knew when to venture forward.


Marc Casado - 6/10

Casado was neat with the ball on his feet and kept the ball moving but didn't have any direct contribution to the flow of the game.


Pedri - 7/10

Pedri showed signs of his former self with some great passes, showcasing his vision. He tried to maintain the tempo of the game and orchestrated the rhythm for Barcelona. But given his abilities, far more is expected from him.


Lamine Yamal - 8.5/10

Yamal was quite entertaining on the right flank, as he kept the visitors busy. He won nine duels, made one recovery, won three tackles, created three chances and was the most fouled player in the game (3).

Yamal even bagged a brace of assists and was never shy of taking on defenders and making some vicious runs.


Dani Olmo - 8/10

Olmo seems to have slotted into the Barcelona side effortlessly, scoring yet again. He was omnipresent whenever they attackerd and made some good runs and incisive passes.

Olmo won seven duels, made five recoveries, completed four dribbles and hit the woodwork twice.


Raphinha - 9.5/10

Raphinha was the star of the match for Barcelona. The Brazilian international opened his account for the season with a hat-trick and grabbed an assist in the rout. His ferocious runs behind defenders caused Valladolid sorts of troubles, and he was too much to take for the visitors.


Robert Lewandowski - 8/10

Lewandowski did what he does. He scored one and bagged an assist and created the most chances (4). Lewandowski combined well with his attackers up front.
