Barcelona favourites to sign Tottenham superstar
What's the story?
Christian Eriksen has been one of Tottenham's best players this season and with his contract running out in two years, there has been a lot of speculation regarding his future. Now, bookmakers, Betfair have made Barcelona clear favourites to sign the Danish playmaker.
Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all said to be interested in the 26-year-old star with Barcelona priced at 7/4 ahead of Manchester City who have odds of 7/2.
Manchester United and Chelsea are at 10/1 and 14/1 are rank outsiders to complete the signing of the talented Danish international.

Eriksen along with the likes of Son, Dele Alli and Harry Kane has played a huge role in Tottenham's strong performances this season. Having already scored 14 goals and assisted a further 9 more this season, the Dane is on track to have his most productive season as a Tottenham player.
With only 2 years left on his contract, Tottenham will be desperate to give him a new deal and ward off potential buyers.

Calm and composed on the ball, Eriksen's style of play and passing could suit Barcelona perfectly. With Andres Iniesta ageing and Coutinho capable of playing on the wings, Eriksen might be the ideal long-term replacement for the Spanish legend.

Tottenham's biggest star might be Harry Kane, but, Eriksen's importance to Mauricio Pochettino's side cannot be discounted. Having formed a wonderful partnership with the likes of Son, Kane, and Alli, Erisken is vital to Tottenham's style of play and Spurs fans will be hoping that the club does everything in their power to give the 26-year-old a new contract as soon as possible.
