Barcelona targetting Chelsea star David Luiz?

Tito Vilanova is believed to be targeting Chelsea star David Luiz from Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window. The Barcelona boss has realised that the central defence is the weakest in his team. Alex Song and Javier Mascherano were often asked to fill in during  various instances in the season.

During a meeting with the Barca chiefs, Vilanova spoke about how significant it is to bring in a defender at the end of this season. He also thinks David Luiz is perfect for the team. And if the offer is pleasing for Chelsea, then they would as well give in.

Luiz was moved away from the midfield position by Blues’ interim boss Rafa Benitez. He also had doubts if Luiz is dependable as a centre back in English football. If Luiz does make the move, he will join compatriot Dani Alves in the Barca defense.
