Barcelona transfer news round-up: Neymar's transfer wish, Thiago to cost €90m and more
Neymar wants Barcelona to sign Coutinho
Neymar is hopeful that Barcelona will make a move to sign Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho this summer. The Brazilian superstar was speaking with Mundo Deportivo where he said: "I would sign Philippe Coutinho. He's a player that I see playing at Barca."
Reports from Don Balon have emerged in last 24 hours of Barcelona willing to let go Ivan Rakitic to sweeten the deal for Coutinho. The Catalan club are also in talks to pursue Lionel Messi to sign a new deal and continue to fight for top honours in upcoming seasons.
Bayern put €90m tag on Thiago
Bayern Munich are set to demand a whopping €90m for Barcelona's summer target Thiago Alcantara, according to Spanish journal Diario Gol. Reports claim that Barca see Thiago as the ideal player to replace Xavi, a gap which is yet to be filled since player’s retirement.
Although Thiago is settled at Bayern but an offer from Barcelona would be hard to reject for the 25-year-old. Barca are looking for a complete midfield overhaul next summer with Thiago and Coutinho tipped to be their prime targets. Thiago joined Bayern back in 2013 for a fee of as little as €25m.
Man United’s move for Neymar angers Barca fans
Manchester United’s rumoured move for Neymar has caused a stir among the Barcelona fans after Daily Telegraph claimed a sensational £173m deal being agreed between the two clubs. Such a figure would shatter the current £89m world record transfer fee paid for Paul Pogba last summer.
Despite the unrealistic nature of speculation, Barcelona fans are worried as there have been talks of Barca not being able to afford the astronomical wages of their superstar trio, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
It has been speculated that if Messi does sign a new deal, Neymar might get sold in the summer to bring in a couple of new players and cover the wages of their existing players.

No offers from Napoli for Denis Suarez
Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has not received any offers from Napoli and is content with life in Spain, according to his agent Felix Grande. The 23-year-old has failed to impress since returning to the club and has struggled to get into the starting XI.
With Barcelona chasing the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Thiago Alcantara, Suarez is most likely to be sold in the summer with Napoli interested in signing him.
Commenting on the transfer speculation, Grande said: “We have had no contact, from Napoli or any other club. Denis is doing very well at Barcelona, he has a contract there for five years. He’s grown a huge amount in these last few months.
“Although he’s not a regular starter, he’s frequently involved in games. It’s obvious that all the players want to play more, but this is his first complete year at Barcelona and it’s the path to follow. Next year he will definitely have more space.”
