Barcelona's Luis Suarez wants Lionel Messi's left foot and Neymar's Pace
Luis Suarez is already part of the deadliest trio in the world with both Neymar and Messi recently finishing first and third in the Ballon d’ Or shortlist. The striker has now revealed what qualities of his compatriots he would want the most
“I'd love to have Messi's left foot, which is one-of-a-kind in the world, remarkable, and the pace and happiness of Neymar,” said the 29-year-old
Suarez is already currently one of the best forwards in the game but to have that Messi’s left foot and Neymar’s burst of pace would probably make him unstoppable. The trio have amassed over a hundred goals for Barcelona this season and their chemistry both on and off the pitch has been one of the keys to their success
“We prioritize the group objective.” he said, “None of us compete with the others, but each enjoy the moment. I feel content, happy, and I'm helping the team, which is key.”, added the Uruguayan.
We often see Barcelona’s three kings spending a lot of time together on the training pitch and Suarez says it’s not just him Messi and Neymar who have a good relationship in the team
"All the players have a great relationship and it shows, we're always laughing amongst ourselves and hugging, not just the three of us." he said.
"It's not about affection, it's about support. Nothing's planned, it all comes from the inside, and what we do is enjoy it, and if we are happy, we will enjoy it."
Its Barcelona's title to lose
On Sunday, the Catalans extended their unbeaten run to 34 games after beating Sevilla at the Nou Camp and once again their talisman Messi was at the heart of it. They had a shaky start to the game and went a goal to down within 20 minutes after Vitolo put them ahead.
But just 10 minutes later Leo Messi had a chance with a free kick just outside the box a chance he took with an excellent finish. And in the second half the Pique got Barcelona’s winner after some wonderful link up play between Messi and Suarez.
The League’s top scorer acknowledged the importance of that victory saying, “Now we have a nice advantage in the league, we're in the cup final, we know that winning the Champions League is more than difficult,”.
"We will try to do the same again, to keep going, to make our mark on the club.”
Barca are now 12 points ahead of Real Madrid in La Liga and barring an unlikely collapse should defend their title.
