Bayern Munich not interested in Marco Reus signature

Reus could be moving to the Premier League soon

Borussia Dortmund starlet Marco Reus is all set for an exit next summer as the midfielder has refused to sign a new contract extension at Westfalenstadion. But, what might come as a boost for clubs pursuing the winger, Bayern Munich have said that the player is surplus to their requirements.

Reus is contracted to Dortmund till 2017, however, a €25 million release clause would be a steal for any club willing to invest in quality. German rivals, Bayern Munich, were said to be front-runners for his signature, but, manager Pep Guardiola has said that Reus isn't a part of his plans next season.

Speculation in the German media was high about Reus following in his former team-mates, Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze's footsteps. However, Sportbild has revealed that Guardiola likes Reus as a player, but he has no intention of signing him.

With Bayern stepping out from the race to sign him, the window of opportunity has opened for other clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea. A move to the Premier League for the German International  seems imminent.
