Bayern Munich troll Arsenal ahead of the Champions League draw
All the Arsenal fans were overwhelmed when they topped their UEFA Champions League group, finishing ahead of Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain. However, prior to the side’s 4-1 victory over Basel, not many had hopes of Arsenal being the group toppers.
This, along with Ludogorets holding PSG for a 2-2 draw in Paris, combined perfectly for the North London club as they finished on top of Group A. Arsenal amassed 14 points in the six group fixtures to finish first in their group for the first time since 2011 while PSG finished second with 12 points.
This unexpected feat was a cause for celebration amongst the Arsenal fanbase. They assumed that they were more likely to avoid the European big clubs as early as the second round in the competition.
However, they all had a sudden realisation.

Bayern Munich had finished second in Group D behind La Liga side Atletico Madrid. This gives rise to an unnerving possibility for the Arsenal fans. A possibility of meeting the German champions in the second round of the Champions League.
Arsenal have some kind of hoodoo when it comes to facing Bayern. In the last four seasons, the two clubs have come face to face three times. Bayern knocked out the English side in 2013 and 2014 in the knockout stages. Last year, they were in the same group and Bayern had trounced Arsenal 5-1 in the return leg.

The prospect of facing Carlo Ancelotti’s side has made the North London club’s fans shift nervously in their seats. Bayern Munich, of course, did not let this chance of trolling Arsenal slip away.
Arsenal celebrated finishing on top of Group A after the match.
Bayern Munich took to Twitter to take a jibe at the Gunners stating that they are wondering if they should already book the flight to London. Shots have been fired from the Allianz Arena and it remains to be seen how Arsenal respond.
Accept it, Arsenal fanboys. It’s inevitable.
