Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez not keen on “interested” Manchester United
Manchester United target Enzo Perez admits he does not wish to move to Old Trafford, who are both interesting in snapping up the 27-year-old.
New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has already began identifying potential signings, despite preparing the Netherlands international team for this summers World Cup.
Holland travel to Brazil next week looking to follow on from the 2010 World Cup, when they were defeated in the final by champions Spain.
Van Gaal is looking to strengthen the middle of the park and has been linked with a host of central-midfielders, including Kevin Strootman.
However, one of those targets, Enzo Perez, has rebuffed speculation linking him with a move to the Theatre of Dreams and the midfielder insists he is happy at Portuguese side Benfica.
Enzo Perez told reporters he has no qualms about staying at the Portuguese champions.
The Argentinian said: “I know about their [United and Valencia's] interest, I have heard about these possibilities and my agent told me about them, too.
“There is the possibility of playing for Valencia, who are a great club, but right now I want to be fully focused on the Argentina national team and on the World Cup.”
