Bengaluru FC announces local partnerships
18 September 2013, Bengaluru: Bengaluru FC, the city’s new I-League club announced its preparations and tie-ups for their debut season at a press conference at the Arbor Brewing Company, on Wednesday. Present at the event were Mustafa Ghouse, CEO of JSW Sports, Ashley Westwood, Head Coach of Bengaluru FC and club players Sunil Chhetri, John Johnson and Vishal Kumar.
The club, which kicks off its season against Kolkata team Mohun Bagan, have tied up with online ticket booking firm Book My Show for all ticket-related needs of the fans. Tickets have been priced at Rs.30, 50, 150, 300 and 450. The club has also undertaken the complete painting of the Bangalore Football Stadium and is committed to providing a pleasant match-day experience to all fans.
“We have tried to cater to all sections of the city with our ticket prices as we want everyone to have an enjoyable match day experience every time they come to watch Bengaluru FC play. We have received ample support from the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) and the Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA) in our endeavour and we believe the football-loving people of the city will come in large numbers to support the club,” said Ghouse.
Bengaluru FC also announced a tie-up with the Arbor Brewing Company as the home pub for the season. Club merchandise and tickets would be sold at the pub which would also be screening Bengaluru FC’s I-League games that will be televised. Fans have the opportunity to stay updated with Bengaluru FC previews and results as the club has tied up with radio station Radio City.
Coach Westwood said he was happy with the way the team has shaped up through pre-season. “Pre-season has been hectic since we are a new club but the response from the boys has been fantastic. We have seen big improvements and we are working hard to make sure it continues,” said Westwood.
