Best defence in Europe: Team with the least goals conceded

Fabio Quagliarella (R) of Juventus FC competes for the ball with Mehdi Benatia of AS Roma during the TIM Cup match between AS Roma and Juventus FC at Olimpico Stadium on January 21, 2014 in Rome, Italy.

In a list compiled by Reddit user FinalSay, you can see the number of goals conceded by clubs in the top five leagues in Europe.

Rudi Garcia’s work at Roma has been nothing short of spectacular as his side is performing way better than pundits or fans would have expected. Along with Mehdi Benatia, and an outstanding pair of defensive midfielders in Daniel De Rossi and Kevin Strootman, Roma have just conceded 11 times this season, with an average of 0.48 goals per game.

Atletico Madrid follow them with great performances from centre-back pair Deigo Godin and Miranda.

It is also worth mentioning that Real Madrid are yet to concede a single goal this year, back-to-back clean sheets in eight matches, a feat Real Madrid were least expected to achieve.
