Beware Chelsea wounded Manchester united are coming to haunt you

Before the Real Madrid match there were a lot of talking going on if Manchester united could go on and win a treble this season.Till 57th min it looked like they are well on course and the dream was still alive and burning. But suddenly this dream seemed to be fading after a shocking decision to red card Nani . Old Trafford was in disbelief to see such an experienced referee giving such disastrous decision on a starry European night which certainly proved as an agony for Manchester united, as two goals came for Real Madrid in just 13 minute span after the suspension.

Dream had now turned into a nightmare.

But did the club which had such a great history of coming back from setbacks and sufferings which inspired its generations going to give up to this one decision?

The answer was definitely No! , the open arms of Ryan Giggs and Sir Alex Ferguson urged the Old Trafford to stand up to the situation and lift up the players and the fans responded. Manchester united took from the 70th minute and started hitting back with ten man and forced some brilliant saves from Diego Lopez ,Real Madrid seemed troubled again. But the final Whistle was blown and the game ended with the crashing hopes and dreams . Manchester united were wounded, they were in disbelief. Sir Alex  avoided the press conference and Nani was in tears and sobbed down the phone to a  pal in Portugal.

Mike Phelan answered to the press in absence of Sir Alex.

“The atmosphere in the dressing room was very, very solemn,” admitted Phelan, “and the players are down because they felt as though they had carried out the tactics, showed their abilities, got the goal that we needed to get at a great time and felt in control.

“But this loss was not of our own making so why should we be down and despondent when we’ve got everything to work hard for and everything to achieve?

“We’ve still got an FA Cup tie [on Sunday, against Chelsea] and we’re still in a commanding position in the league. So we’ll get over it, we’ll bounce back.”

On many previous occasions sir Alex has lifted up the dressing room after a defeat and has asked for a reply…..the same will be the case

this time around. And the players would now know they have to perform to get the best out of remainder of the season.

This frustration of injustice may fall on Chelsea by the wounded man Utd squad.

Chelsea on other hand are more into qualifying for the the champions league next season and themselves are not in a great run of form. The managerial issues are still haunting them and dressing room lacks belief from within and fans are too protesting against the their current interim manager Rafa Benitez. In contrast Manchester united will take the field with high on confidence and to pull of the frustration of the European night on their premier league counterparts.

Chelsea will have to be both organised defensively and fluent in attack in order to get out a result from this game. And of course they have to take their chances against a very good Man Utd side which will be up there to batter their coming oppositions otherwise it may turn out to be a  hard day for Chelsea.
