Bolivia take on Paraguay in World Cup qualifier
La Paz (Bolivia) - Bolivia’s national football team completed its training regimen here, in the lead up to its match on Friday against Paraguay, though neither has a chance of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Coach Xabier Azkargorta has put together a conservative lineup of five defenders, four midfielders and one forward for the game, reports Xinhua.
The Bolivian team on Thursday held a closed-door training session at the Hernando Siles Stadium here, before travelling to Paraguay in the afternoon.
Bolivia has accumulated 10 points and Paraguay eight in the regional rankings, too few points to even compete in a play off against a similarly ranked Asian team for a chance to participate in the World Cup.
