Borussia Dortmund considered signing Christian Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur‘s latest signing, Christian Eriksen, has told the Danish media that Borussia Dortmund had contacted him and were interested in signing the player.

It was reported that the Bundesliga club had contacted the player and were weighing up whether to approach Ajax for the player.

Eriksen said to the Danish newspaper BT, “Dortmund was interested, and they approached me. I guess that they have contacted all the candidates they had, and I was one of the many. They were interested, and there was a phone call from them. But it’s a long time ago and a lot has happened since,”

The Danish international signed for the North London club on August 30 for a deal believed to be worth £11 million.

It was also reported that French big-spenders Paris Saint Germain  were also interested in the signing the player but the player flatly refused as he had already made up his mind to join the Spurs.
