Brazil coach Scolari targeted by Neymar's agent and CBF official, to consider future after World Cup
After Germany beat Brazil 7-1 in the most one-sided semi-final in World Cup history, Luiz Felipe Scolari has come in for some harsh criticism from many quarters.
Neymar’s agent Wagner Ribeiro was outraged after the result and tweeted his displeasure without mincing words, calling the Selecao coach an “arrogant, repulsive jerk”.
In six points, he explained why Scolari was a complete failure in his eyes.
- One – being Portugal Coach and winning nothing.
- Two – going to Chelsea and being sacked the following day.
- Three – going to coach in Uzbekistan.
- Four – returning to Brazil, taking over a big team [Palmeiras] and getting them relegated to the second division.
- Five – leaving the club 56 days before the end of the Brasileirao [season] to ‘escape’ the relegation.
- Six – being an old jerk, arrogant, repulsive, conceited and ridiculous,” he finished in brutal fashion.
Delfim Peixoto, the next vice-president of the Brazilian Football (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol – CBF), was also very harsh with his criticism of Scolari.
"Scolari should retire,” he said in his outburst.
“He'll never come back, and he'll have no place inside any Brazilian club ever again. He does not need money, he should pack up and say goodbye."
Scolari, however, has refused to discuss his future until the World Cup is over.
"After the World Cup, we will submit a report to the Brazilian football federation who will tell the positives and the negatives. It's all in the hands of the CBF," Scolari said.
