Brazil legend Ronaldinho set to return to Europe as Besiktas snap him up
According to reports, the Brazilian has joined Besiktas on a free transfer in a two-year deal which will see him earn six million euros per season.
The winger was in sensational form for Atletico Mineiro as he guided the Brazil outfit to the Copa Libertadores title. However, as per his contract, his time at the club came to an end at the turn of the new year, and will now play his trade in Europe.
The 33-year old’s brother, Roberto Assiss, has been reportedly thrashing out a deal with the Turkish club since June 2013, which has eventually borne fruit. However, he refused to confirm the same.
Besiktas are scheduled to announce the signing soon, after ratifying the same on Thursday. This could become the biggest signing in the club’s history.
