Bundesliga 2013/14: Bayern Munich to open season against Mönchengladbach

The 51st season of the German Bundesliga will open with a match between champions FC Bayern Munich and old rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Allianz Arena on Friday, August 9.The match against Borussia Mönchengladbach will also mark new coach Pep Guardiola’s first game in-charge of the Bavarian giants.

The fixtures for the 2013/14 season of the Bundesliga were released today by the DFL (Deutsche Fussball Liga) at their offices in Frankfurt/Main.

After the historic 50th Bundesliga season, which ended with Bayern Munich breaking a number of league records, a first-ever German UEFA Champions League final and Bayern Munich winning a first-ever German triple have raised the expectations for the new upcoming season.
