According to the Sunday People, Beckham will look to convince stars like Michael Carrick, Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard to play in the MLS towards the end of their career.

An MLS source said: “With the wages, lifestyle, and anonymity the world’s top soccer players have playing in the MLS, it makes it an ideal destination for them to finish their careers.”

While Beckham himself has not yet decided where he would be heading, with interest from several French clubs, it is believed that he would be able to convince these stars to consider moving to the MLS by telling them about his own experience. While the MLS officials do not expect these stars to move at their peak, they are hoping that they would be willing once they reach the end of their playing careers.
