Carlo Ancelotti's son joins him as an assistant manager at Bayern Munich
Bundesliga will see it's first father - son coaching duo in their history as the new Bayern Munich manager, Carlo Ancelotti has appointed his son, Davide Ancelotti as an assistant coach at the club. Along with his son, the former Real Madrid manager has Paul Clement and Hermann Gerland as his other assistant coaches. Gerland is with the Bavarians since over a decade. Mino Fulco is the club's nutritionist.
Davide, who is an academy graduate from his dad's former employers, AC Milan couldn't make the cut as a professional. But a successful education in Sports Science earned him a role as a fitness coach at Real Madrid where he was known to get on well with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos. He was expected to take over a similar role in Munich but his extensive training in the German language has earned him a promotion to be the assistant coach for the German champions.
A vine released by the Munich's Twitter account shows Davide giving instructions to the players in fluent German with a cardboard in his hand. On his new role he said, "I support our coaches both in training and in pre-match preparations. On the training pitch, I explain exercises or just help out with the language. My father speaks German well but doesn't understand everything yet. I like the language, it's difficult but I find it very interesting."

On his arrival the club, Carlo Ancelotti was impressed about the family feel at the club and now it has been enhanced with the arrival of his son in his coaching staff. He proclaimed, "I have not had so many meetings with them, but I think it is a family. They have former players on the board and the club is 70 percent owned by members." Ancelotti completes twenty years in management as he looks to add trophies to his glorious CV.
The Italian's main aim will be to win a Champions League in his time at the club as he has inherited a world class squad left by the former boss, Pep Guardiola. The Bavarians begin their title defense against Werder Bremen while their rival for the title, Dortmund start their campaign against Thomas Tuchel's former side, Mainz 05.
