Casillas greater than Buffon, says former Italian goalkeeping great Dino Zoff
With two goalkeeping legends going against each other in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League as Real Madrid prepares to face Juventus, the Italian goalkeeping great, Dino Zoff, has chosen Iker Casillas to be a greater goalkeeper than his fellow countrymen Gigi Buffon.
While the current season has seen a lot of criticism flow towards the Spaniard because of the numerous high-profile errors made by him, Casillas has still managed to remain as the 1st choice for both the Los Blancos and the Spanish national team.
“Between Buffon and Casillas, I choose the Spaniard,” told Zoff in an interview with Radio 4G. “In my opinion [Manuel] Neuer is the best in the world, but the Spanish keeper is better than Gigi.”
Zoff also had a laugh on the suggestions that had termed Cristiano Ronaldo to be selfish, saying: "Is Cristiano Ronaldo selfish? No, I don’t think so, he gets 50 goals a year and that means you play for the team."
Ancelotti is the best coach that Real Madrid could have
With Ancelotti’s contract set to expire in less than 18 months from now, the Italian had termed it to be foolish if Real Madrid relieves him off for his further due duties at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Ancelotti is the best coach that Real Madrid could have. He’s proven he’s great in England and now he’s showing it in Spain,” said the World Cup winning Captain.
