Chamakh plays role of bodyguard for Nasri
Ugly scenes were witnessed at the entrance of the Emirates Stadium as Samir Nasri and Marouane Chamakh were confronted by furious Gunner fans. Chamakh had to block the fans, who were badgering Nasri with insults and called him a “traitor”. Clearly, the fans were not too pleased with Nasri’s move to Manchester City.
As the duo arrived at the Emirates, they were greeted by angry fans who were extremely forward in expressing what they felt about Nasri, who is now suspended for being sent off against Norwich. Chamakh, who is currently on loan to West Ham United, put himself in between the mob and Nasri, with hopes to defuse the tension.
Fans used cuss words and aggressive gestures to insult the French international, who did as much as he could to ignore them. Once the Emirates steps came into view, one man got right into Nasri’s face. Chamakh came to his former teammate’s aide and yanked the man out of the way to avoid any unwanted confrontation.
