Champions League 2018/19: How Manchester United could lineup against Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester United face Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie at the Parc Des Princes. PSG lead Manchester United by 2-0 going into this match and the Red Devils clearly face an uphill task against the French Champions.

Manchester United will be missing quite a few important players in this fixture. Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez are all out due to suspension and injuries. It would be interesting to see how Solskjaer lines his team up. In my opinion, Solskjaer could go for back three in this one so as to neutralize Kylian Mbappe's threat.

Here's how Manchester United could lineup against PSG on Wednesday:

Formation: 3-4-3

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

Manchester United keeper de Gea would be looking to put in a better performance than the last leg. The Spaniard has to be at the top of his game as United just cannot afford to give PSG an early lead in the contest.

Center backs: Victor Lindelof (LCB)

Victor Lindelof has slowly transformed himself into a very reliable defender for Manchester United and he is the undisputed first-choice center-back for the Red Devils. Lindelof would be looking to lead the Manchester United defenders at the Parc Des Princes.

Chris Smalling (CB)

Chris Smalling has looked good after returning from his injury. Alongside Lindelof, he has formed a good stable partnership. Smalling could play against PSG as the central defender in a back three.

Eric Bailly (RCB)

Eric started against PSG in the first leg and he could be the right center back in a back three. Bailly is capable enough to deal with Mbappe's pace and he would be looking to stop the Frenchman from tearing United apart again.
