Champions League 2019-20: Erling Braut Haland leads goal-scoring charts after 4 matchdays
The stock of Erling Braut Håland continues to rise as he has become only the fourth player ever to score in each of his first four Champions League games, the others being Ze Carlos (FC Porto), Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus) and Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid).
After 4 matchdays of the 2019-20 Champions League, the Norwegian teenager, with 7 goals, is the top-scorer of the competition this season - ahead of Bayern Munich's Polish marksman Robert Lewandowski (6).
Braut Håland's goal in the 1-1 draw at Napoli kept Salzburg in contention for a place in the Round of 16, as PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich sealed their passage to the knockout round, with two games to spare.
The Barcelona vs Slavia Praha game produced the only goalless stalemate of the matchday, while Chelsea's thrilling come-from-behind 4-4 home draw against Ajax marked only the fourth instance of an eight-goal draw in the competition. It was also the highest scoring game of the matchday.
PSG and Bayern Munich are the only teams to have won each of their four group games. Those two teams, along with Manchester City, Juventus, Barcelona and Napoli, are the only unbeaten teams in the competition.
Bayern Munich (15) have scored the most goals by any club in the competition this season, while Juventus (8) have had the highest number of different scorers. Galatasaray remain the only team not to have scored in the 2019-20 Champions League.
129 different players (excluding own goals) from 31 different teams have found the back of the net. Let us have a look at the season's top-goal scorers after 4 match-days.
