Champions League: The ideal Chelsea eleven to prevent slippery Schalke getting any joy
As we know Chelsea take on Schalke in match day three of the Champions League and the first of our double header against the German side.
After a defeat against FC Basel and a victory against Steaua Bucharest, it’s important that we take six points from six in these two games but it will not be easy.
Chelsea beat Cardiff 4-1 at the Bridge on Saturday and missing from the game were Andre Schurrle and Ashley Cole and as confirmed on the Chelsea website this morning here, both took part in training at Cobham before the team travelled to Germany and it’s looking good for them to be involved tomorrow!
So, with that in mind and everyone else raring to go, I want to ask YOU the Chelsea fan reading this post to tell me in the comment section below (you can post even if you are not registered!) who YOU would like to see Jose start tomorrow!
Would you make any changes from the team that started at the weekend with Ryan Bertrand being the most obvious? Would you consider making changes for this one bearing in mind we have Manchester City at the weekend?
If it was me, I would start with the following eleven to remain solid at the back and look to hit the German side on the counter all game long:
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry(c), Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Oscar, Mata, Hazard and Torres.
