Chelsea 2-0 Fulham EPL 2013: Highlights and reaction
Chelsea went top of the table with a comfortable 2-0 win over Fulham with goals from Oscar and John obi Mikel. This is the first goal from the Nigerian in six years, and it has taken him 185 matches to reach this landmark. Chelsea struggled to break down a defence over Fulham in the first half, but Oscar’s goal seven minutes into the second half finally broke the resistance. Chelsea then made it a comfortable last 10 minutes after Mikel’s goal from a corner.
Fulham had a couple of decent opportunities, especially in the first half, when they broke clear with Darren Bent, whose shot was saved by Petr Cech.
