Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is 'not special': David Luiz
Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz has claimed his former boss Jose Mourinho ‘is not special’ ahead of the Champions League game against Chelsea. Luiz will be returning to Stamford Bridge with PSG for the second leg of the round-of-16. The Premier League leaders hold a slight advantage going into the fixture thanks to an away goal in the 1-1 draw at Parc des Princes in the first leg.
Luiz, who left Chelsea to sign for PSG in a £40 million move last summer after only one season under Mourinho, still believes that the French side can turn the tables on his former club. The Brazilian also seemed unconcerned by the potential effect Mourinho could have on the match and said that the Portuguese manager isn’t as special as everyone considers him to be.
Luiz told a L'Equipe, “He [Mourinho] is special for you, not for me.
“I had some great moments at Chelsea and won a lot of titles. I was very happy.
“They are having a great season, defend well and have great players but above all I know my team. We will try to score there and play like we know how.
“We will have a good game plan and implement it the best way possible to achieve a great performance. Both can still qualify.”
