Chelsea interested in Fluminense striker Kenedy
Brazilian striker Kenedy has piqued the interest of Premier League giants Chelsea, according to his representatives. The South American player has attracted a lot of attention across the ocean, and is destined to move to Europe this summer.
The 19-year-old has already received an offer from Manchester United, but it is said that Jose Mourinho’s men are also interested in the youngster. He has also received offers from Juventus after seeing him play in the Under 20 World Cup.
“There was contact with Chelsea recently,” said the Intermediary Eduardo Valdes. “It was through Deco, who is now his agent. It was an approach, not a formal offer though. Half of Europe is following him.”
Fluminense are said to be asking about £9.2 million for the player according to Eduardo Valdes.
Kenedy has appeared 13 times for the U-17 Brazilian side and has scored six times. He has scored twice and assisted once for Fluminense in the Brasileirao.
