Chelsea linked with “Unmanageable” Serie A forward, Mario Balotelli

The agent of controversial forward, Mario Balotelli, has hinted that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign the Italian, according to the London Evening Standard.

Balotelli, 23, joined AC Milan for £19 million in January after a litigious two-and-a-half year spell at Manchester City came to an end.

The Italian has worked with Mourinho before during the Portuguese’s successful spell at Internazionale where he won the treble.

Their relationship was tense at times, with Mourinho even going as far as saying the player was “unmanageable” according to The Daily Mirror.

Chelsea are expected to buy another striker in January given the lack of options and quality that Mourinho has left himself with. Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba are all suffering from poor form and lack the quality that Mourinho longs for.

Balotelli’s representative Mino Raiola said: “Balotelli and Mourinho could be reunited because they know each other and they didn’t leave each other with hate.

“There was a not very nice incident between them, but they parted company on good terms. They have remained in contact and there is mutual respect.

“I know Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani will not agree, but Mario is a great striker. That is for certain and he could perhaps be that at Chelsea.”
