Borussia Dortmund took advantage of this situation and signed him up. The striker spent 4 seasons at the Signal Iduna Park before moving to Bayern Munich on a free transfer.

He has been on top of his form for the Bundesliga champions ever since but has been linked with a move away from Germany this summer.

Chelsea have Morata and Giroud in the squad with Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham out on loan. These strikers are more than enough for The Blues right now.

Author’s Take

Unless Conte decides to let go of one of the two in his squad right now, there is no way Chelsea will be spending on a striker. Lewandowski might be leaving Bayern Munich this summer but it won't be to Chelsea.
