Chelsea to bid for Porto pair in January
After hitting a few roadblocks in the campaign the Blues manager has seen enough and has decided he needs immediate changes to salvage the campaign according to reports in the Portuguese newspaper A Bola.
According to the newspaper Jose Mourinho is ready to offload a few non performing members of the squad to make way for the Porto pair of Jackson Martinez and Eliaquim Mangala. The players from the club previously managed by the Special One are touted to be ideal replacements for the players who are rumoured to be on the brink of being sold.
David Luiz, Kevin De Bruyne and Demba Ba are the trio who are reported to make way for the players from the Portuguese side. David Luiz has been linked with a move to Barcelona while Demba Ba has been linked with a move to London rivals Arsenal. KDB however has been linked with a loan move to Andrechlet.
Jackson Martinez, 27 year old Colombian hitman has managed to put on some eye catching performances for the Portuguese giants since his move from the Mexican outfit Chiapas F.C. in 2012 and will add much needed steel to the Chelsea strike department which has been found wanting.
Eliaquim Mangala is a 22 year old French international who will add defensive stability at the heart of the Chelsea defence. The powerful ex Standard Liege man has made a name for himself since his €6.5 million move in 2011 and has alerted the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
With Chelsea having issues in the striker department, the move for Martinez is much welcomed by the Stamford Bridge hopeful. The recent displays against Newcastle and West Brom in the league have exposed glitches in the defence armoury as well and Mangala will be more than a decent back up.
