Chelsea troll Arsenal with cheeky UEFA Champions league tweet
Chelsea trolled London rivals Arsenal with a cheeky tweet during last night’s 5-0 win against Schalke at Gelsenkirchen in a Group G clash. The tweet said the Stamford Bridge outfit were going for their fourth goal since a 3-0 lead is not safe. This alluded to Arsenal losing a 3-0 lead to Anderlecht to finally draw 3-3 during the last round of the competition.
Chelsea are top of the Group G table, points clear at the top with 3 wins and 2 draws. Captain John Terry also scored the fastest goal for his club in the competition. he headed home after just 2 minutes of kickoff. Midfielder Cesc Fabregas got his 13th assist of the season.
Former manager Roberto Di Matteo’s dream return to Stamford Bridge turned out to be a nightmare. The former Chelsea player had won his club the UEFA Champions League as caretaker manager in 2012 after Andre-Vilas Boas was sacked.
Chelsea qualified for the first knockout round of the competition alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Porto, Paris St-Germain and Shakhtar Donetsk.
