Chelsea vs AS Roma: 5 Talking Points
2-0 up, 3-2 down and in the end, a 3-3 draw. Chelsea were never in total control of the game and Antonio Conte has some thinking to do.
Both teams were desperate for a win to make their position in the group table comfortable but would be happy with the point because Atletico Madrid dropped points at Qarabag earlier in the night.
Here are the talking points from the game:
#5 – Cesar Azpilicueta needs a break
Cesar Azpilicueta has been the most consistent defender in the Premier League ever since he joined Chelsea in 2012. He's played as a Right Back, Left Back, Right Centre-Back and also as a Right Wing Back but one thing that was common in all the positions was that he was confident and reliable.
However, in the last couple of games, he's been at fault for the goals and has been making a lot of mistakes. The Spaniard has lost his magical touch and it can be down to the fact that he's been playing every single match for Chelsea since 2015!
Though he'll be a big loss, Antonio Conte needs to make him sit out for a couple of matches so that he can get a small break. Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen can replace him at the back.
