Real Madrid went through big changes over the summer with Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane both leaving the club. While Florentino Perez did bring in a number of young players, none of them have had the desired effect so far. Julen Lopetegui was a major disappointment, and while Santiago Solari has steadied things for now, he is not the manager they require.

Finding a suitable manager is a topic of discussion at Real Madrid, but the most important question is a replacement for Ronaldo. Ever since the Portuguese joined Real Madrid in 2009, he became an instrumental figure for them, and his leaving them has hurt Real Madrid more than they are willing to admit.

The players they bought since Ronaldo's departure will certainly help them in the long run, but they needed a direct replacement who could make an instant impact. Players like Isco, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio, who were supposed to step up and take the spotlight, have clearly not done so.

There is still a lot of work to be done at Real Madrid, and Christian Eriksen could be the player who can turn their fortunes around. The Danish midfielder could follow in the footsteps of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, and become the next Tottenham player Real Madrid snap up for a huge transfer fee.

After making a name for himself in the Eredivisie with Ajax, Spurs bought him for a relatively cheap price and he has transformed into one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and in Europe. In the six years Eriksen has been with Tottenham, he has helped a lot in their meteoric rise over the years.

In six years, he has played 189 games, scoring 45 goals and assisting 59. He was named in the PFA team of the year last year and was Tottenham's player of the year in the 2013-14 and 2016-17 seasons. The former Ajax man is 26 years old at the moment, and if he wants to elevate his career, win trophies regularly, and etch his name in footballing history, he needs to move to Real Madrid this year.

Over the years, Eriksen's stats have continued to impress, and this season is no different. He averages almost 2 key passes per game, 47.3 passes in total per game, and has a pass success rate of 82.9%. He takes at least 2 shots on goal per game and plays almost 2 long balls per game.

The Danish international has amazing vision, is good at holding on to the ball and involving other players in the build up, and is amazing at delivering set-pieces. He always produces something special, and he is a player who is tailor-made for Real Madrid.

Eriksen has certainly made amazing use of his time at Tottenham, but this is as good as it is going to get for him in North London. Now, Daniel Levy is definitely not going to let him go easily, and will demand a huge transfer fee, but if anyone knows Florentino Perez, he is always willing to splash the cash.

With Tottenham building a new stadium, they might have to sell a few players to balance the cheque books, and if the right offer comes along, they might be tempted to sell. Christian Eriksen is at the peak of his footballing career right now, and he has every quality possible to make it big at Real Madrid.
