Colombia vs Panama Head-to-Head stats and numbers you need to know before Match 28 of the 2024 Copa America
Colombia and Panama will face off at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Copa America. Los Cafeteros performed brilliantly well in the group stages of the continental showpiece, kicking things off with a 2-1 win over Paraguay before comfortably beating Costa Rica 3-0 in gameweek two.
They then locked horns with continent giants Brazil in their final group game and found themselves a goal down just 12 minutes after kickoff following a brilliant free-kick from Barcelona's Raphinha before Daniel Munoz turned home the equalizer just before the break.
Colombia faced a Diego Godin-led Uruguay side at this stage of the tournament in 2021, beating La Celeste on penalties to advance to the final four.
Panama, meanwhile, suffered a 3-1 defeat to Uruguay in their tournament opener last month but bounced back from that in commendable fashion as they secured a 2-1 comeback win over hosts USA in their second group game.
They then dumped Bolivia out of the tournament on Tuesday in a 3-1 victory over La Verde at the Exploria Stadium, with Jose Fajardo opening the scoring midway through the first half before Eduardo Guerrero and Cesar Yanis came off the bench to wrap up the points.
