Ronaldo will be fired up by Messi's 600, says Allegri.

What's the story?

Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri, believes that Cristiano Ronaldo will be inspired to move clear of his counterpart, Lionel Messi, once again in the goalscoring stakes at club level in Juventus' next game against Torino.

In case you didn't know..

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 600th club goal in a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan at the weekend. However, his staggering numbers were soon replicated by Lionel Messi who scored a brace against Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. The Argentine sharpshooter reached the milestone with a stunning free-kick fired into the top-left corner.

The Blaugrana star is currently leading the race for the European golden shoe with 34 goals registered to his name.

On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo trails Fabio Quagliarella by three goals to finish as the Serie A top-scorer, this season. However, the Juventus boss believes that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will be fired up against Torino after getting caught by the Blaugrana forward in the goalscoring stakes, recently.

The heart of the matter

Speaking about Juventus' top-scorer this season, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus manager said:

"Messi is a good stimulus for Cristiano," he said.
"He will be fired up to move ahead in the scoring, and he aims to finish as top-scorer in Serie A."

Having scored 20 goals and set up another 8, Ronaldo, currently, is the fourth-highest goal-scorer in the Italian league. A hattrick in the next Serie A game would make him overtake the veteran Sampdoria striker as the top-scorer of the league.

What's next?

Following a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan at the weekend, Ronaldo and co. will take on the seventh-placed side, Torino, next in Serie A. Despite having won the league already, Ronaldo would endeavor to add more goals to his tally.

On the other hand, Lionel Messi, who is currently leading the Portuguese with 21 goals, would look to add more to the difference in his next game against Celta Vigo.
