Cristiano Ronaldo News: We win 4-0 and he does not score, he goes mad at that - Juventus star reveals how Ronaldo is as a teammate
What's the story?
Juventus star, Rodrigo Bentancur, hails the mentality of Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming that the Portuguese sensation gets mad when he does not score.
In case you didn't know...
Since moving to Juventus from Real Madrid last summer, Ronaldo has taken the Italian top flight by storm and established himself as the talisman of the team. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is Los Blancos' all-time greatest goalscorer with 450 goals, and he showed that his impact on the pitch remains the same during his debut season in Italy.
Ronaldo netted 28 goals in all competitions in his debut season - with 21 of them coming in the Serie A. Thanks to his exploits, the Bianconeri won their eighth consecutive league title, but the Old Lady's failure in the Champions League remains a talking point at the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Juventus recently announced that current head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, won't continue in the upcoming season, despite securing the Serie A title weeks before.
The heart of the matter
Ronaldo's impact in the Juventus team is unparalleled, and his teammate Bentancur revealed how the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is as a teammate.
Speaking in an interview, Bentancur said:
"It is amazing. It impresses us all how he trains. He never likes to lose and that is what has led him to win so much and be what he is."
"Cris does not like to lose, he wants to win and score. Maybe, sometimes, we win 4-0 and he does not score - he goes mad at that."
"But it's because of his ambition. His winning mentality is what has led him to be among the two best in the world. He is a winner and he shows it in every game."
"Before knowing him, he generated some talk. Now he has shown us his simplicity outside the pitch. It is a pleasure to have him as a team-mate."
What's next?
Having already won their eighth consecutive Serie A title, the season is virtually over for Juventus.
The Old Lady will take on Atlanta and Sampdoria in their remaining Serie A fixtures in the current campaign.
