Cristiano Ronaldo snubs Real Madrid contract extension

Cristiano Ronaldo has put Manchester United and PSG on alert by refusing to sign a contract extension with Real Madrid.

The Portugese star’s current contract with Madrid runs till 2015.

Ronaldo’s decision means Real Madrid would be compelled to sell him this summer. If not, the Spanish giants would see their most expensive acquisition leave at a much reduced fee next year. If Madrid decide to keep Ronaldo till 2015, they will allow the £80m-worth footballer leave for free.

The recent decision has given his former club Manchester United an opportunity to re-sign him.
