After their sensational 3-2 away win over defending champions Manchester City on Saturday, Roy Hodgson and his Crystal Palace side will be looking to take that momentum into their next fixture - where they welcome newly-promoted Cardiff City to Selhurst Park on Boxing Day.

Hodgson has a big decision to make, on whether he should keep the same line-up which started against the Cityzens. Andros Townsend is in great form and showed exactly why, with a contender for Goal of the Season at the Etihad Stadium. With their win, it has propelled the Eagles up to 14th place - six points above the relegation zone.

The Eagles must keep a cool head and avoid getting overexcited over their latest win, as Cardiff - who are struggling themselves - will be eager to break their good mood. On the other hand, Cardiff face two huge away games as they travel to Leicester afterwards, who sit 9th in the league standings.

Cardiff's form this season has been appalling and their morale would've taken a hit after a 5-1 defeat by a rejuvenated Manchester United this past weekend. They currently sit two points clear of Burnley in the final relegation place, though nothing less than a win is needed for Neil Warnock's side as they look to escape the relegation dogfight.

Injury news

Everything is falling into Hodgson's hands at the moment, with midfielder Chiekhou Kouyate (muscle) and first-choice goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey (back) both expected to be available for selection after their respective injuries. Fullback Martin Kelly (groin) will need a late fitness test.

As for Wednesday's visitors, Joe Bennett (hip) and Jazz Richards (hamstring) could feature while Gary Madine (knock) and Danny Ward (knee) are doubts.
