Together at Manchester next year?

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda’s daily transfer news and rumours roundup for 17th May 2017. Today’s biggest news comes from Don Balon with Manchester United switching targets and Real Madrid going for theirs. While newly crowned Premier League champions Chelsea are set for a massive splurge and more. On that note, let's head right it. 

Bale and James to United and Griezmann to Real Madrid?

Don Balon reports a sudden turnaround by Europe’s heavyweights Real Madrid and Manchester United. According to the paper, United have their sights set on Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez with many sources reporting that a deal is in place for the Columbian already.

Bale has struggled with injuries this season for Real Madrid and United want to sign the Welshman to bolster their attack ahead of next season. Don Balon further states that Real Madrid will allow Bale to leave and replace him with Antoine Griezmann.

However, whether Atletico are prepared to sell Griezmann to their city rivals is still not known, especially after fending off interest from United. More on this development to come, watch this space. 


Antonio Conte to make six new signings

Antonio Conte is eyeing six new signings

According to the Independent, Antonio Conte is set to make six new signings to strengthen his Chelsea squad for Champions League and Premier League next season. Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata is his top priority along with PSG's Marco Verrati and Southampton’s Virgil Van Dijk.

Chelsea will also sign a few younger players with rumours of Conte scouting Italy, Germany and France for talented youngsters to add to his squad. Expect Chelsea to spend big ahead of next season as they look to challenge for the Champions League and retain the Premier League. 


Everton slap £50 million price tag on Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley could be on his way out of Everton

Everton have set an asking price of £50 million for their wantaway midfielder Ross Barkley. With the player’s contract situation uncertain at the moment, it looks as though Barkley is waiting for a move to a bigger club. Arsenal and Tottenham are rumoured to be looking to sign Barkley and could submit bids for the England international.

The Daily Mail states that Barkley has been told by Everton that he must either sign a new deal or leave the club in the near future if he doesn’t want to stay. 


Manchester United to bring back Keane while Carrick could stay on

Back to Manchester for Michael Keane?

Burnley’s Michael Keane could be on his way back to Old Trafford at the moment, according to the Daily Mail. United want to bring back their youth product who they sold to Burnley for £2 million just two years ago. The centre-back has impressed in the Premier League this season but could cost United £25 million if they choose to re-sign him.

While veteran Michael Carrick is set to be handed a one-year extension according to the BBC. Jose Mourinho reportedly wants Carrick to stick around for at least another season as he looks to rebuild his United squad. 


Lacazette has offer from ‘a club that is in his heart’

Lacazette earlier stated that he wants to move to a club who are in the Champions League

Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas has once again sparked a debate with his latest comments about his star striker Alexandre Lacazette. He said, “Alex had a good option with a club that is in his heart.

"If the club of his heart is able to match our demands then things will go well. Otherwise, it will depend on our other business," Aulas added. 

While the club has not been revealed, Lacazette earlier stated that he wants to move to a club who are in the Champions League and “play good football”. Therefore, it remains to be seen which European club has made a bid for him. Arsenal have been sniffing around but we’ll have more on this story in our roundup.
