Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has been offered a £5m-a-year deal by Toronto FC in an attempt to lure the 31-year-old England forward to the MLS, but they face competition from QPR. Chelsea’s Kevin De Bruyne started the midweek Capital One Cup triumph at Arsenal, but he has not started a Premier League match since August and speculation continues to mount that he could leave Stamford Bridge in the New Year. “To be honest, I haven’t thought about it yet.
