Gaston Ramirez looks set to stay with Bologna until next summer at least.

Southampton fail to secure Ramirez deal

Southampton’s bid to sign Gaston Ramirez has ended in failure after the club failed to convince Bologna about the financial terms of the deal.

The Saints had reportedly made a shock bid for the long-term Liverpool target, worth around 12 million pounds, which was accepted by the Italian club initially.

But the Saints allegedly failed to provide bank guarantees which forced Bologna to pull out of the deal. The player’s agent has also ruled out a move to Tottenham or Liverpool as unlikely.

West Ham set to sign Matt Jarvis

Matt Jarvis could be finally set to leave Wolves as ESPN report that the Championship club have accepted a 10 million pound offer from West Ham for the winger.

This is the 4th bid for the player from West Ham, after earlier bids were rejected by Wolves, who have been stubborn in their stance over selling their key players this summer.

QPR trying to land Real’s Ricardo Carvalho

The opening day defeat QPR suffered at the hands of Swansea has forced Mark Hughes to reinforce his squad with quality defenders. The BBC claims that Hughes is targeting Real Madrid’s Ricardo Carvalho on a season-long loan deal.

The Daily Mail adds to this by claiming that the Rangers have also made a bid to sign Michael Dawson from Tottenham.

Arsene Wenger targeting La Liga winger

Arsene Wenger is targeting Jesus Navas from Sevilla, claims the Daily Star.

The paper claims the winger will be targeted by Arsenal if the club fails to agree a new deal with Theo Walcott, who has just a year left on his  existing contract with the Gunners. Andrei Arshavin is also set to leave the Club with Zenit St. Petersburg tabling a 10 million Euro offer

Wenger has already targeted La Liga this summer, with the signing of Santi Cazorla from cash strapped Malaga.

The 26 year old reportedly has a 35 million euro release clause in his contract but will accept half the amount. A.C Milan allegedly, are also interested  in the player.
