Daniele de Rossi: Manchester United move would have been suicidal
Daniele de Rossi of AS Roma has expressed his relief at snubbing United to continue with the Italian outfit. The English giants submitted a bid for the Italian, but Rossi committed his future to Roma instead.
Corriere dello Sport has quoted the player stating: “Thank goodness that I didn’t move to Manchester, otherwise I would have committed suicide by now…”
De Rossi, here is referring to the fact that his beloved Giallorossi, after troubled campaigns in the past, are Scudetto contenders this term. They are second in the standings, five points behind a Juventus side who they will face on Sunday night.
The Stadio Olimpico outfit won their opening 10 games of the campaign and are still unbeaten. They also have the best defence in Europe considering they have conceded just seven goals.
