David De Gea wants Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta at Manchester United
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea wants Spanish teammate Andres Iniesta to join him at Old Trafford, claiming he’s ‘one of the best’ in the world.
De Gea was fantastic for Man United last season, picking up the club’s Player of the Year, which says everything about how poor the outfield players performed.
The Spaniard has been rewarded by being called up to the national squad for the upcoming World Cup that starts in just 13 days.
Barcelona star Iniesta sparked speculation with comments following the final game of the La Liga season. There are rumours he could leave the Catalan club and de Gea wants him at Man United.
“If I had a millions and millions I would buy Iniesta,” he told Movistar.
“He is one of the best players in the world. He has character, quality and goal. He has everything”.
United have been linked with a host of attacking midfielders this summer with names like Toni Kroos, Cesc Fabregas and Kevin Strootman all attached to Manchester United.
As of yet no bids have been made as Louis van Gaal is yet to fully take over the first-team squad.
