David Luiz opens up on his famous hairstyle, reveals he has 'cure' for baldness
In most minds, David Luiz is more of a punchline than a normal footballer with strengths and weaknesses like any other. The Brazilian defender appeared on the French TV show, Journal du Dimanche as he admitted his fear of losing his trademark hair locks and also revealed a miracle hair loss cure!
The former Chelsea defender now plies his trade in the French Ligue 1 with champions Paris Saint-Germain. Much like pioneering business co-owned Mathieu Flamini of Arsenal, the flamboyant Brazilian might have stumbled upon a potential business contingency plan for him to fall back on post his retirement from football.
As reported by Get French Football News, Luiz said, “I know I look crazy, but I am not! It is just hair… Yes my father is bald. But I found a way to save my hair.”
Luiz also claims to have discovered a miracle hair loss cure from a man in Diadema, a town near Sao Paulo in Brazil, that can help people who are suffering hair loss all over the world.
“I met with a doctor in Brazil, who has developed a special treatment. It takes some cells from here (your hip) and then relocates them,” he added.
“I will do it. In ten years it will be the solution for people who have lost their hair. You should try it!”
A flamboyant and comical figure in world football
Luiz is probably best know for his massive Sideshow Bob hairstyle and as the guy who got embarrassed by Luis Suarez, who then again got embarrassed by Suarez. To the footballing world, he is also the guy who has never seen a ball that he didn’t want to chase and surely the one who would try to dribble through three opponents and ping a perfect pass deep in his own half, instead of just clearing the ball from danger.
Most of the reasons Luiz gets targeted on are accurate. He clearly has severe concentration problems as a defender and relies way too much on his speed and strength to bail him out of instances caused by his clueless positioning and poor decision making.
However, Luiz is blessed with physical gifts that make him a sound defender when he remembers to defend. He has also shown his ability to score goals from dead-ball situations and can play sensational forward passes on his day.
The modern day custodian of flamboyant football is undeniably a flawed player, but he still entertains the fans and grabs the headlines even though sometimes they are for the wrong reasons.
